East Africa is a year-round safari destination. The best wildlife viewing is during the dry seasons (June–September and December–February). These months offer excellent game viewing, gorilla trekking conditions, and pleasant weather.

Yes. Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda are all safe and welcoming destinations for travelers. National parks are well protected, and Getaway Expedition works only with licensed guides and trusted partners.

Most travelers need a visa. Rwanda and Uganda offer visa on arrival for many nationalities. Kenya and Tanzania provide e-visa systems. The East Africa Tourist Visa allows travel between Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda on a single visa.

Local currencies are used in each country, but USD is widely accepted for safari payments. We accept bank transfers and mobile money.
